For Webmasters So, you want to include jokes on your web site? Using our joke API, you can have our full joke catalog displayed on your very own web site! The API code: To include our jokes on your page, you will need to include the following code on your pages. There are a few options that you can use to customize the way that your joke text is displayed: <span id="jokespan"> Joke is loading... </span> <script type="text/javascript"><!--   joke_allowed_ratings = "G,PG,R";   joke_allowed_category = "Animals";   joke_allowed_size = 1000; // --> </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.thejokeexchange.com/japi.js"></script> Parameters: joke_allowed_ratings This parameter specifies a list of joke ratings that you will allow. The api will only return jokes that fall into the ratings that you specify. (note, although we make every effort to assign accurate ratings to that jokes that we publish, we do not guarantee their accuracy.) joke_allowed_category If you would like to limit the jokes that you receive to a single category, include this parameter in your page. Make sure to use the exact category name from our web site. joke_allowed_size This parameter limits the total size of the joke in bytes that you are willing to recieve.
